My 36-hour covid experience: Dec 22: whole-body muscle ache started from the afternoon; low-grade fever (~38.0-.5) started from the late night; Dec 23: rapid test taken in the morning and (expectedly) came back positive; both symptoms continued for the whole day w/o becoming more severe or milder. Fever receded ~midnight. And that’s it. Dec 24: as peaceful as the day is meant to be. Also spared runny nose and scratchy throat. The only unrecovered is the tongue: all tastes now come with a weird twist as though there were some mapping error between two encodings. Which is… fine due to my utterly utilitarian view of food.
