The bad quality of one’s translation basically has nothing to do with his English proficiency. It means (a) your Chinese skill is questionable and/or (b) (more likely) you don’t make sense of the text at all. The later is often tragically companied by one’s attempt to disguise his ignorance with jargons and terms to distract the reader from the ill translation per se.
